DENIM ON DENIM WITH RED

in search of the perfect dark denim shirt. the hunt has led me to several over priced pieces that i refuse to buy. in the mean time here is my interpretation of this ubiquitous trend done with light denim.

RED LOVE

spots of red feel so fresh. it instantly lifts an outfit to the realms of chicness.

DENIM LOVE

denim on denim, relaxed chic, positively beautiful. i love it when casual styles merge to create a look that stands out. the need for fussiness becomes obsolete in the name denim.

LACE AND THINGS

some inspiration for pairing your fancy lace with dressed down, athletic pieces. the juxtaposition keeps it casual for daytime while keeping the look fashion forward and chic. i have to give this look a spin. hope all of you lovely people had a blessed Thanksgiving! God Bless, babes!

REMIX

most of my wardrobe is thrift. i usually take thrifted items to the dry cleaners to have them altered. i have had this skirt shortened twice and i am in love with it.

SHEER

i turned this big old fancy dress into a skirt by removing the top. i cut off some of the lining, but i am going to remove the rest. the lining is too shiny and bulky. a mini skirt would be better underneath.

CAMEL

everyone experiences road blocks in life that sometimes causes us emotional or psychological pain. the choices we make in those moments can determine the outcome of our lives. letting GOD take control of our lives helps us make the right decisions. let go and let GOD is one of the hardest things to do. i find that prayer and truly studying, not just reading the Bible, is the only way to let GOD take control of your life. the distractions of our daily lives can get in the way of that. if you take some time out of your day to center yourself, you will find that everything will run smoother. you will be calmer, happier and more productive. try it.

THRIFT

when i got this dress from a thrift store almost ten years ago it was a jumpsuit/romper. i turned it into a dress by removing the stitching down the middle. i wore it so much that i had to retire it to the back of the closet for a couple of years. i recently took it out for a night on the town.

AMERICAN APPAREL

we were blessed with abundant sunshine so i took some photos. unfortunately the glare caused my top to appear sheer even though it's not. have a beautiful week, babes!

i think i might go see skyfall this weekend. i am a sucker for james bond!
